The Council of Governments (WG member) recently released a proposal for a regional visioning campaign called Greater Washington 2050. Now they want feedback from stakeholders—which means anyone invested in the future of the region—before finalizing the plan. The feedback period ends October 10th. Click here to see the proposal and comment.
Greater Washington 2050 is an expanded version of Envision Greater Washington—a campaigned proposed in 2006 by COG, The Community Foundation, and the Greater Washington Board of Trade. The earlier model also incorporated the voice of the Washington Regional Equity Network (WREN), a network of nonprofits grown out of WG’s Sustainable Communities Working Group. WREN is calling on its members to stay involved in the process by giving feedback on the proposal.
The daily news round-up returns on Monday.
