Health: In the ongoing soap opera that is healthcare in Prince George’s County, the hospital operator is suing for the funds that County Executive Jack Johnson promised back in April. (Gazette, 7/9) (Johnson later decided that four board members would have to resign first.) D.C. Health Director Gregg Pane has noted that any disruption of the hospital’s operations “would have the potential … to cause health-care chaos across the region.”

DC Education: Council Chairman Vincent Gray isn’t quite ready to put the confirmation of Deputy Mayor of Education Victor Reinoso to a vote. (The Post wishes everyone could get along.) (WaPo, 7/10)
